SSL certificate comes free with all our hosting packages and gets renewed automatically every three months after the activation. To activate free SSL, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps;

  1. Go to the services tab in your client area, click on my services, and see all of your active & pending services (referred to as hosting packages) there.
  2. Click on manage to configure the service.
  3. If your service is active, you will see a "Login into the control panel" button.
  4. Click on login into the control panel to access hosting cpanel (Note: If you are accessing cpanel for the first time, you might need to set up some security questions to protect your cpanel).
  5. After logging into hosting cpanel (https://stackcp.com), you will see all the basic and advanced hosting features.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom, where you can see security settings; from there, click on SSL/TLS to configure SSL.
  7. This opens up the SSL configuration section.
  8. As in the above image, the SSL certificate is already active, and in your case, if you are to set it up for the first time, you will see an "Activate Free SSL" button there. Click on it to activate free SSL. (Note: Nameservers needed to be pointed toward us to be able to activate free SSL)
  9. SSL certificate activation may take up to 30 minutes, and you might need to clear your browser cache to see the changes on your browser, or you can use incognito mode.
  10. An important step, also turn on the "Force HTTPS" button to route all of your traffic via HTTPS instead of HTTP.
  11. Thats it. You are set up to use the free SSL with your hosting package. Feel free to reach out via the live chat or support section in case of any help.
